Your DVD rocks. The reason that it's better than most (that are usually over $100.00) is that:
1. The explanations are complete and easily understood.
2. The follow-up close-ups are key to understanding in even greater detail.
3. Although nobody thinks about it, both instructors are wearing two different colored garments, which are different than the mat color. It may sound odd but so many DVD's have both guys in white. which can leave one wondering whose arm is where and how is positioned vs. the other white clad arm or leg I see? This could mean the difference between getting or not getting the position right.

I love the way Gary Lam exposes the finer details of Chum Kiu and make the techniques more lethal and effective. When he discusses some of the common mistakes made in CK, I could identify with them and am most thankful in finding my now. I'm sure that other Wing Chun practioners will also say "Ah ha".
It's always fun to watch Lam execute his move with control and expertise. He's a true master. As for his students, they are lucky to be able to experience his potentially devastating strikes. They're fun to watch because you know it's not you. My favorite was Peter from other DVDs. He didn't get shaken as easily or at least showed much discomfort. I'm sure that Jason will get better ;)) Keep up the good work and thanks for sacrificing yourself. It really helps us.
I must say that it was admirable for Sifu Lam to acknowledge his Sifu -- Wong Shun Leung --, his Sibak, Sihings, and Hawkins Cheung, and David Peterson for their contribution to Wing Chun. I see that Peterson has a couple of DVDs. I know what I'll be watching over Christmas ;-))
All of Lam's DVD are very good. Having said that it might be good if Sifu revise the Wooden Dummy DVD with the improvement of technology and experience in making DVDs. I would love to see common mistake sections there and better angles.
Meanwhile, for those interested in a lesson from true master on Wing Chun, I think that Lam's CK DVD is a worthy addition to anyone collection. Keep up the good work -- Crane and Sifu Lam.

I learned the Biu Jee form in class but never learned all the applications. This instructional video is a great way to fill-in the gaps of missing information. I was also pleased that Sifu Gary Lam's Wing Chun Style is simular to how I was taught, which helped me relate. Sifu Gary Lam teaches at a nice slow pace that allows time to absorb the information and take notes. This dvd is a very good learning tool and great source of information!
